45: Speculative Histories and Possible Futures of an Artist-run Centre

Oct 18, 7pm - 1am at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre
Free

In 2019, Artspace, Peterborough’s artist-run centre, celebrates its 45th anniversary. To mark this significant milestone, the centre will gather at the Market Hall, a site of historic significance - both in the centre’s history and the city’s cultural landscape - to celebrate. The night will feature a panel discussion with individuals from the centre’s past and present who have made significant contributions to the vitality of the centre. The panel includes:

Lori Beavis

Andrea Fatona

Bill Kimball

Fynn Leitch

Jeffrey Macklin

A publication featuring a transcript of the night's discussion will be produced by the centre and available for purchase shortly after the evening's events.

The night will end with music from bands and individuals with close ties to the centre’s long connection to Peterborough’s vibrant music scene, including:

The Ceedees

Susan Newman and Rob Fortin

Deejays Billy the K and Johnny Q

We hope you will join us as we explore our past and our future.

The evening is a free, ticketed event. Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/45-speculative-histories-and-possible-futures-of-an-artist-run-centre-tickets-72393459787.

We greatly appreciate any donation you wish to contribute. All funds support our 45th anniversary celebrations.
